Eligibility Requirements
Junior Faculty:
- Must be HU early stage/junior faculty (Instructor or Assistant Professor rank) within six years of completion of formal training (defined as residency, fellowship, or post-doctoral training)
- Must be full-time employees at the Howard University College of Medicine/Hospital
- Must have demonstrated previous research experience
- Submit a fully completed application (4 hard copies) to MUDD Room #530 AND electronically to com_research@howard.edu by deadline;
Medical Students (Medical Student Research Scholars Program):
- Must be US Citizens or Permanent Residents
- Must be currently enrolled in their 3rd or 4th year at HU College of Medicine
- Must be able to complete the 12 month program
- Must have demonstrated a strong interest in the conduction of basic, clinical, translational, and/or population health research
- Must have a letter of attestation from the Dean of Academic Affairs
- Submit a fully completed application (4 hard copies) to MUDD Room #530 AND electronically to com_research@howard.edu by the deadline
Residents & Fellows:
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited ACGME program at Howard University Hospital
- Must be able to complete the 12 month program
- Must have demonstrated a strong interest in the conduction of basic, clinical, translational, and/or population health research
- Must have an attestation letter from the Department Chair & Program Director
- Submit a fully completed application (4 hard copies) to MUDD Room #530 AND electronically to com_research@howard.edu by the deadline
Graduate Students Eligibility Requirements:
- Only applicable to Graduate Students who are currently in candidacy
- Must be currently enrolled at Howard University and assigned to the College of Medicine
- Must have demonstrated previous research experience
- Must have an attestation letter from the Department Chair & Program Director
- Submit a fully completed application (4 hard copies) to MUDD Room #530 AND electronically to com_research@howard.edu by the deadline
