- The mission of the Howard University College of Medicine Spiritual Health and Wellness Center (SHWC) is to optimize whole-person health, encompassing mental, physical, psychological and spiritual dimensions. This is accomplished through wellness initiatives, lifestyle interventions, and outreach efforts geared to help students manifest their highest sense of meaning, purpose and service to others.
- SHWC envisions a community where students are so invigorated by their own holistic wellness journey and their sense of purpose that they are a beacon of light and hope for their patients, colleagues and communities.
