The Spiritual Health and Wellness Center (SHWC) is a holistic resource for medical students to optimize their mental, physical, psychological and spiritual health. The Center itself will be a location for relaxation, recovery and rejuvenation with meditation rooms and spaces for medical students to decompress. The temporary location of SHWC is in the Seeley-Mudd building room 533.

Counseling Services

The Spiritual Health and Wellness Center (SHWC) offers virtual and in-person brief, short-term therapy to medical students. As a required first step, you will meet with a clinician for an Initial Consultation (IC) during the posted hours. Initial Consultations are considered brief introductory sessions of up to 20 minutes. This brief IC is used to discuss your concerns and develop a specialized care plan that supports your needs.

You will be considered a no show and will need to reschedule if you’re 10+ minutes late to an IC and 15+ minutes late to a regular appointment. The last IC will be accepted 30 minutes prior to the posted hours (Ex. 11am-1pm the last accepted will be 12:30pm).
