Howard University & Stanford Medicine Summer Research Program

Stanford Medicine, operating under the auspices of—and in tandem with—Stanford Medicine’s Commission on Justice and Equity under our REACH (Racial Equity to Advance a Community of Health) Initiative is expanding and building upon the PRESENCE Meharry-Stanford Summer Research program to invite medical students from Howard University to apply for a summer of research at Stanford Medicine.

This program offers Howard medical students an 8 week summer research opportunity at one of the many Stanford Medicine labs (https://med.stanford.edu/profiles/) and a stipend of $8,000 (intended to cover your travel, living, housing expenses for the summer). While we broker information on housing and share leads, each participant finds and finalizes their own housing, car rental (if needed), etc.

Clinical Shadowing is not offered by the program.
