Program Director Welcome

It is my pleasure to welcome you to explore the residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Howard University. We are a diverse group of faculty and residents who seek to provide excellent care to the women of the District of Columbia while creating an educational environment that is comprehensive and innovative. We have a long history of training practitioners with a passion for the underserved. Our graduates take their experience with them wherever they go, whether locally, nationally and internationally.

Our four year curriculum includes training clinical and surgical training in general obstetrics and gynecology, as well as the four major sub specialties, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Urogynecology, Reproductive Endocrinology, and Gynecologic Oncology. In addition, we have faculty with specialty training in Minimally Invasive Gynecology and Family Planning.

We offer a unique training program in the heart of Washington, DC which provides excellent training in clinical and surgical care of women of all ages. We encourage residents to pursue their interests in all aspects of women’s health.
