Favorite thing about HUH Ob/Gyn Residency: Being surrounded by people who look like me and who I can relate to daily, including physicians, nurses, staff, and patients. Also, having the opportunity to train at an institution with such rich and excellent history is invaluable. 

Favorite thing(s) to do when I’m not being a doctor: Listen to music/go to concerts, travel, hang with my people, go to brunch/day parties, and try different taco and Italian restaurants!

Favorite thing(s) to do when I’m not being a doctor: Being a foodie, spending quality time with family and friends, spending time with my pup Milo, traveling, going to concerts, doing group sports and workouts, attending sports events, laying on a blanket in the park reading, outdoor/adventure activities, getting massages, watching movies, car/shower karaoke, and bottomless mimosa brunches.

Favorite thing about HUH Ob/Gyn Residency: Feeling at home when I’m at work! I love being at an institution with Black doctors, nurses, and patients that has such a strong legacy in the community.

Favorite thing about HUH Ob/Gyn Residency: So far, it’s the excellent, almost constant, teaching on the fly. Whether it be didactics, in simulations, at sign out, etc. Also, how invested everyone is in my education.
Favorite thing(s) to do when you’re not being a doctor: Baking, hiking, buying too many houseplants.

Favorite thing about HUH Ob/Gyn Residency: The opportunity to scrub into a variety of gyn cases! It’s been great getting more comfortable in the OR and strengthening my knowledge. I’m also really grateful to be working with our amazing patients and being able to contribute meaningfully to their care!
