  • Resident physicians are allowed up to 4 weeks of vacation per academic year.
  • Residents are allowed a maximum of 4 weeks for an elective rotation during their PGY-4 year.

  • SICU: Surgical Intensive Care Unit / Surgical Critical Care at Howard University Hospital
  • ENT: Ear, Nose, and Throat
  • CT / Vasc: Cardiothoracic Surgery / Vascular Surgery
  • NF: Night Float
  • Syphax: Minimally Invasive Surgery / Bariatric Surgery / Colorectal Surgery
  • Leffall: Surgical Oncology / Subspecialty Surgery
