Favorite thing about HUH Ob/Gyn Residency: Being surrounded by people who look like me and who I can relate to daily, including physicians, nurses, staff, and patients. Also, having the opportunity to train at an institution with such a rich and excellent history is invaluable 

Favorite things to do: Listen to music/go to concerts, travel, hang with my people, go to brunch/day parties, and try different tacos and Italian restaurants

Favorite things to do: Being a foodie, spending quality time with family and friends, spending time with my pup Milo, traveling, going to concerts, doing group sports and workouts, attending sports events, laying on a blanket in the park reading, outdoor/adventure activities, getting massages, watching movies, car/shower karaoke, and bottomless mimosa brunches

Favorite thing about HUH Ob/Gyn Residency: My favorite thing about my program thus far has definitely been the patient experiences. It’s incredibly gratifying to be present for moments like a young mom’s first delivery. I’ve also been grateful for the warmth of all the staff and program leadership at Howard University Hospital. That is definitely a rare find! 

Favorite things to do: Snuggling with my baby, Aya, trying out my most recent skincare/haircare buys, watching professional boxing, and MMA

Favorite thing about HUH Ob/Gyn Residency: I value the continuous learning that comes from managing a diverse patient population, treating high-risk OB-GYN cases, and understanding how social determinants of health affect our patients. Training in an environment surrounded by Black excellence has profoundly enriched my perspective and commitment to medicine

Favorite things to do: I enjoy learning TikTok dance challenges and funny videos, as well as listening to music—especially Afrobeat and Afro-gospel.

Favorite thing about HUH Ob/Gyn Residency: My favorite thing about my program is the warmth of the people around me. There is a genuine sense of support and community among the residents and faculty that makes me feel welcomed, and this was evident from day 1! They’ve truly made Howard feel at home

Favorite things to do: Doing makeup, trying new restaurants, spending time with family and friends, and enjoying a slow, relaxing day at home with a good Netflix movie. I also love fellowshipping at church, worshipping, and spending time in God’s presence
