A tenure-track faculty position in Physiology at the Assistant Professor level is available in the Department of Physiology & Biophysics, Howard University College of Medicine, Washington, D.C. – USA. A minimum of 4-5 years of post-doctoral experience and a good publication record is required. The candidate is expected to lead an independently funded research program that can coordinate with on-going College of Medicine/departmental research. A research focus in cellular metabolism, oxidative stress and/or aging is preferred but other aspects of physiology research may be considered. A competitive initial salary will be provided. Teaching within the College of Medicine’s curricula will be required as needed and in keeping with the candidate’s readiness. The position is to be filled during the Academic Year 2019-2020.
