Welcome to the Department of Anatomy in the College of Medicine at Howard University!
Members of our Department contribute to this excitement through cutting-edge research in a wide range of disciplines of the Anatomical Sciences. Our use of new experimental technology and modern scientific approaches allows us to make Howard University a leading research institution located in the nation’s capitol. The major focus of our research is in Cell & Molecular Biology, Developmental Biology, Neuroscience, Gross Anatomy, and Evolutionary Biology.
The Department of Anatomy is committed to making a significant contribution to science and education. Therefore, our aim is to excel in research and to deliver high quality education to our students. The Department offers graduate programs leading to the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees, in addition to training students of Medicine, Dentistry and undergraduates in the College of Pharmacy, Nursing and the Allied Health Sciences.
